The 2025-26 budget reaffirms the Indian government’s strong focus on enhancing water resources, sanitation, and sustainability through substantial investments in critical programs:
- Jal Jeevan Mission (₹67,000 crore): Aimed at providing safe drinking water to rural households, this will benefit industries supplying water solutions and project services.
- Namami Gange Mission (₹3,400 crore): The river rejuvenation initiative will drive opportunities for wastewater product manufacturers and service providers.
- Swachh Bharat Mission (₹7,192 crore): Focuses on sanitation and waste management, benefiting solid waste and wastewater industry players, along with the food & beverage and pharmaceutical sectors by ensuring improved hygiene and public health standards.
- Atal Bhujal Yojana (₹1,780 crore): Groundwater management will support industries dependent on water, including agriculture, dairy, and beverages, fostering sustainable water use for long-term industry growth.
These initiatives not only cater to immediate water-intensive sectors but also contribute to environmental sustainability and rural prosperity, positioning the water, wastewater, and solid waste industries for significant growth. The 2025-26 budget is poised to drive eco-friendly, safe, and efficient industrial development across key sectors.
