Water is elixir of life. It has quantitative limitations and qualitative vulnerability. Water is essential for manufacturing, Agriculture, Commerce, many types of energies, Economics and the existence of human & other life forms. However, one should not forget that water can never be manufactured. Cloud seeding technology still has long distance to go. Water is at the core of sustainable development and is critical for socio-economic development, healthy ecosystem and for human survival itself. It is vital for reducing the global burden of disease and improving the health, welfare and productivity of population. The water industry is essential for the development of any country and particularly fast developing country like India. It is critical for ensuring access to clean and safe drinking water, effective management of wastewater, supporting economic development and promoting environmental sustainability. The industry plays a crucial role in conservation of water resources, protection of aquatic ecosystems and management of water related disasters such as floods and droughts. As such governments, Private Organizations, NGOs and individuals should prioritize investment in the water industry to ensure its continued growth and development. Effective Budget allocation towards the water industry is essential for the effective management of water resources and industries dependent on it. Government need to take into consideration the needs of Water Industry, prioritize areas that require immediate attention, ensure equity and accessibility, promote sustainability, encourage Public-Private partnerships and regularly monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of budget allocation.
