As of February 2025, the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) has provided tap water connections to 79.74% of rural households in India (15.44 crore households), up from just 17% coverage when launched in August 2019. Eleven states/UTs have achieved 100% coverage, including Goa, Haryana, Gujarat, and Punjab among others.
