The Greater Noida Authority has approved the construction of five sewage treatment plants (STPs) to enhance wastewater management and recycling for irrigation purposes. Among these, a `40 crore estimate for a 12 MLD STP in Sector IT City received in-principle approval from CEO Ravi Kumar NG after IIT Delhi endorsed the detailed project report. Only 8 sewage treatment plants in Bengaluru monitored properly, study finds
A study by an NGO has found that out of Bengaluru’s 31 sewage treatment plants, only eight are monitored properly for chemical oxygen demand, biochemical oxygen demand, pH, total nitrogen, faecal coliform, ammoniacal nitrogen and suspended solids for wastewater treatment.
